Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive DevOps Engineer, an expert in .NET who is passionate about DevOps, to oversee, automate, and manage our environment efficiently, ensuring the security and stability of servicePath’s B2B SaaS application including .NET environments in AWS ecosystems across multiple regions. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize and automate processes within the global AWS infrastructure, while continuously monitoring, maintaining, and enhancing the security posture and DevOps pipeline.

About the Job:

Job Title: DevOps Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Cloud Infrastructure Management:

Manage and maintain AWS infrastructure, including EC2, ALB, CloudFront, and S3, across multiple regions to ensure optimal performance, high availability, and security.

Provisioning and Automation:

Utilize Pulumi to create and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions for automated provisioning and configuration.

Monitoring and Optimization:

Monitor system performance using New Relic and proactively resolve issues. Optimize resource usage for cost efficiency and performance.

Deployment Automation:

Manage and enhance deployment pipelines with Octopus Deploy, ensuring seamless releases aligned with CI/CD best practices.

Backup and Disaster Recovery:

Develop and implement robust backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and business continuity.

Security Management:

Implement and monitor cloud security best practices, access controls, and compliance with relevant industry standards.

Collaboration and Support:

Collaborate with development teams to support deployments and resolve infrastructure issues. Offer technical expertise to improve team effectiveness.

Documentation:

Maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud architecture, operational procedures, and policies to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity.

Key Competencies and Experience:

Minimum Requirements:

2+ years of experience in security or DevOps roles
Basic knowledge of AWS services and security best practices
Strong knowledge of .NET development principles and tools
Excellent communication skills with a strong client focus

Core Competencies:

Post-secondary education in computer science or related field
2+ years of experience in security or DevOps roles, with a focus on managing AWS environments
Strong understanding of AWS architecture and security best practices
Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) and AWS automation tools (e.g., AWS CloudFormation, AWS CDK)
Experience managing and securing multi-region AWS environments
Strong understanding of software development, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) principles in AWS
Strong knowledge of .NET development, deployment, and maintenance within AWS environments
Familiarity with various security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO, SOC 2) and AWS-specific guidelines (e.g., AWS Well-Architected Framework)
Experience with vulnerability assessment tools such as SNYK and and vulnerability testing software
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Specific focus on communication internally with servicePathTM’s Engineering Team and Executive Management Team
Track record of balancing both business and technical priorities and persuading others to make sure this balance is maintained

Preferred Experience:

Understanding of CRM / CPQ / Sales Management business systems
Understanding of the technology and / or managed services industries
Relevant AWS certifications, such as AWS Certified Security - Specialty or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional
Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies within AWS (e.g., Amazon ECS, Amazon EKS)
Familiarity with AWS-native monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Amazon CloudWatch, AWS CloudTrail, Amazon GuardDuty)
Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
Knowledge of .NET security best practices and experience implementing security measures in .NET application

Budget:

120K - 150K AED per year + Annual Performance Bonus
